Peanut Butter Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
¾ cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky, your preference)
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons tamari (or soy sauce)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced or grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons maple syrup
¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Water, as needed to thin the sauce
Instructions:
1. Prepare Ingredients: Mince the ginger and garlic, and roughly chop the cilantro.
2. Combine: In a food processor or blender, add the peanut butter, rice vinegar, tamari, ginger, garlic, maple syrup, and salt.
3. Blend: Process until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
4. Add Cilantro: Add the chopped cilantro to the mixture and pulse a few more times to blend it in, leaving some texture.
5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust the salt or maple syrup as needed.
6. Store: Pour the sauce into a Mason jar and refrigerate. It will keep for about a week.
